Leading the way in cancer care and prevention
Cancer affects almost all of us at some point in our lives. About 40% of men and women will get cancer in their lifetime.1 Others may support a loved one with cancer. The good news is that about 42% of cancers can be prevented.2
Kaiser Permanente is leading the way in preventing and screening for cancer. Our members are more likely to be screened for breast cancer, cervical cancer, and colon cancer than the national average.3 Kaiser Permanente members are 20% less likely to lose years of life due to cancer.4
From detection to recovery, Kaiser Permanente oncology teams work together to provide high-quality cancer care — bringing life-changing treatments to our members and the communities we serve. No matter where you are on your care journey, we’ll be there to support you.

Transforming health through research

Kaiser Permanente cancer research and clinical trials
Our researchers are helping to advance cancer care for people throughout the U.S. Our oncologists test new cancer therapies and share results with Kaiser Permanente care teams. Thanks to this collaboration, members with cancer get cutting-edge treatment close to home. To learn more about our work and how you might be able to get involved, visit kp.org/cancer.

The Kaiser Permanente Research Bank
The Kaiser Permanente Research Bank helps researchers understand many health conditions, including cancer. Volunteers can share their health information and blood samples. These samples help us learn about genetic, lifestyle, and environmental factors that contribute to disease. For more information, visit researchbank.kaiserpermanente.org
