As Senior Director of Community Health for Kaiser Permanente, Northern California, Jean leads a team dedicated to improving community conditions for health. In this role, Jean oversees strategic charitable contributions, cultivates community partnerships, and leverages Kaiser Permanente’s organizational resources to address pressing community health needs.

Jean’s portfolio includes comprehensive strategies designed to expand access to care and coverage, address health care workforce needs, strengthen the health care safety net, advance economic opportunity, and improve public health infrastructure.

In her tenure at Kaiser Permanente, Jean has been instrumental in designing the organization’s charitable health coverage program for California’s uninsured children. Under her leadership, community health clinics and public hospitals throughout Northern California successfully adopted chronic care strategies for people with diabetes or at risk of coronary events, resulting in improved health outcomes for hundreds of thousands of low-income safety net patients.

Jean holds a BA in Classical Archeology from Oberlin College, an MPH from UC Berkeley School of Public Health, and lives in the East Bay.
