Emil Dionysian, MD, Southern California Permanente Medical Group

Dr. Emil Dionysian, MD, is the co-director of the hand and upper extremity surgery fellowship at the Southern California Permanente Medical Group at Kaiser Permanente’s Orange County-Anaheim Medical Center. He is also board certified in Lifestyle Medicine.

Dr. Dionysian graduated from Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center in Southern California and his fellowship in hand surgery at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York.

In his practice, Dr. Dionysian focuses on integrating the western and eastern medical traditions in his approach to patients with musculoskeletal conditions. His interests in health care spans the spectrum from the physical and material to the holistic and spiritual – as a certified meditation instructor and a yoga instructor.

As he has experienced for himself, he finds lifestyle improvements including Yoga, Meditation, and Plant Based Nutrition to be very useful in promoting health for his patients.
