Vinny Eng (he/him/they) is the Interim Executive Director of Openhouse, which empowers LGBTQ+ older adults through affordable housing, services, and community programs. A community organizer, coalition builder, and public health leader with over 20 years of experience, he has advanced equity and inclusion across sectors. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Vinny was a founding member SF New Deal, delivering over one million meals to vulnerable residents while sustaining local businesses, and later expanded testing, vaccine referrals, and naloxone access as Director of Policy, Advocacy, and Programs at Safer Together. He has advised state agencies, research centers, and human rights organizations, and collaborated with ACLU Southern California and Californians for Safety and Justice on community safety initiatives.
