Denise Likar, MSW, MBA is the Deputy Director of the division of Home and Community Living for the California Department of Aging where she is helping to further the vision to build a California for all ages and abilities. Ms. Likar has 30 years of community-focused long-term services and support experience, aimed at providing older adults, adults with disabilities and their caregivers with the proper support to live in the setting of their choice. In her early career as a social services director in a skilled nursing facility to her work as vice president of Independence at Home at SCAN Health Plan, Ms. Likar has provided direct care, leadership, and advocacy to advance improvements to the community safety net of care. Ms. Likar received a master’s in social work from the University of Southern California and a master’s in business administration from Western Governors University.
