Andrea Harzstark, MD, is a genitourinary medical oncologist at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center.

Dr. Harzstark earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from Stanford University, followed by residency at University of California, Los Angeles, and fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where she focused on genitourinary malignancies.

She joined Kaiser Permanente in 2013, prior to which she was a full-time faculty member at UCSF in the Genitourinary Oncology Program. She is a former member of the National Cancer Institute Genitourinary Steering Committee and is a current member of the Genitourinary Cancer Committees for both NRG Oncology and SWOG Cancer Research Network for clinical trials.

Dr. Harzstark has received multiple research grants, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology Young Investigator Award, Prostate Cancer Foundation Young Investigator Award, and Kaiser Permanente Delivery Science Awards.  She serves as assistant director of the Kaiser Permanente Oncology Clinical Trials Program, lead of the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Genitourinary Medical Oncology Program, co-lead of the Kaiser Permanente National Genitourinary Oncology Program, co-lead of the Multi-Disciplinary Genitourinary Tumor Board for Kaiser Permanente Northern California, and co-founder of the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Testicular Cancer Program.
